Passed away peacefully and unexpectedly May 25, 2009. Preceded in death by husband, Wally on June 2, 2008; brother, Harry P. Schoen. Survived by children and grandchildren, Lisa (Dexter) Gillette and her family, Krista, Dexter III, Chad, Laura and Betty’s first great grandson, Connor; Shane (Julene) Houle and his family, Ben and Sarah Joy; Brad (Bonnie) Houle and his daughter, Brady; Sarah Houle-Johns (George Johns, Jr.) and her son, George III; Claudia (Kevin) McMahon and her family, Owen, Alexandria, Molly and Riley and Malcolm Houle; other relatives and friends. Betty can be remembered as the St. Peter School Secretary for 25+ years, former Forest Lake teacher, librarian, and Latin tutor. Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday, May28th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, May 29th at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake. Memorials preferred.

Jennifer Silvera, who was a guest blogger with us a while back sent me an email about the release of her book she authored, Believe- a Young Widow’s Journey Through Brokenness and Back. She mentioned that a copy would be coming to me soon in which it arrived on Friday. The book sat in my mail box at the flower shop and I was finally able to pick it up on late Sunday afternoon. After a long Mother’s Day week, I walked back to the funeral home and curled up on the couch and opened Jennifer’s Book. Knowing I was short on time, I just read bits and pieces of a few chapters which brought me back to that week in September of 2005 helping Jennifer and the Silvera Family with Shawn’s Funeral. Jeff Rodrique, age 31 of Wyoming, MN and Cordell, OK, died on Wednesday, May 13th in Cordell, Oklahoma.
He was born on October 4, 1977 along with his twin sister, Jessica. Jeff graduated from Forest Lake High School. He made his home in Wyoming, Minnesota as well as Cordell, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his parents, Tom Rodrique, Evelyn (nee Joseph) Rodrique and Dave Buhl; twin sister, Jessica; fiance’, Kristy; beloved children, Matthew and Kaitlyn; nieces, Alyssa and Annika; plus numerous family and friends.
Jeff was greeted in heaven by his grandfather, Edward Joseph.
