From the initial arrangements, to the flowers, to the displays and video and obviouly, to the line up of classic cars. Somehow, you seamlessly pulled everything off for us and took much of the burden off of our family. You made an incredibly trying time comfortable, touching and memorable. We can’t say enough about how respectful and easy you made this experience. You truly went out of your way for us and we wanted you to know how much it meant to us. Kelly, it was nice to see you at the Blacksmith, you not only led us through one of the hardest times of lives but you’re also a good friend. Again, thank you!”

Age 64 of Forest Lake went home to be with his Lord on June 19, 2009 surrounded by family and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Raymond. Survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Barbara; children, Lisa Sharp, Michele (Jason) Sjoberg, Lori (Shawn) Kies, Nicole (John) Zellner and Kyle Zutz; grandchildren, Drew, Christian, Tristan, Colin, Treyton and Gabrielle; mother, Margie Jorgensen; sister, LuAnn (Willard) Weiss; brother, Rodney (Darlene) Zutz; cherished nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Duane was a kind and gentle man.
Visitation 5-8 PM Monday, June 22rd at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, June 23th at Eagle Brook Church, 2401 E. Buffalo St. & Hwy 61, White Bear Lake. Entombment Roselawn Cemetery.

Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa. Retired Pioneer Press Pressman. Age 68 of Hugo passed away at his home surrounded by his family on June 5, 2009. Preceded in death by his father, Clarence Handlos. Survived by loving wife of 45 years, Anita; daughter, Sharene (John) Peltier; sons, Steve Handlos and Dave (Jodi) Handlos; grandson, Nicholas Peltier; mother, Arlene Handlos; sisters and brother, Darla (Ken) Czech, David (Margaret) Handlos and Cindy (Don) Peltier; sister-in-law, Michelle (Rich) Langevin; brother-in-law, Cliff (Carol) Soucy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Jerry can be remembered for restoring classic cars, especially Oldsmobiles and Rivieras and enjoyed traveling throughout the country in these cars (Leader!).
Visitation 4-8 PM Monday, June 8, 2009 at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake. Celebration of Life 3 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Roberts Family Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service.
Autumnwood Farm

I was standing in the doorway during a recent visitation and in walks one of my favorites, Florence Daninger. Florence mentioned she wasn’t dressed properly so she quickly signed the register book and walked back towards me on her way out. I walked outside with Florence and mentioned I wanted to make the Family Day at the Farm this coming weekend, ” I haven’t been their yet Florence” ” Shame on you Kelly!” I laughed and said, ” You’re correct, shame on me, I’ll see you on Sunday.” Autumnwood Farm has been open for well over a year and I have yet to stop at the Daninger Farm to see their new creamery, where the cows are milked, milk is processed and bottled all right there. We packed the car with the kids and headed south of Forest Lake to Autumnwood’s open house. I ran into Florence soon after we arrived, “What a great turn out” I said, she greeted me with a hug and quick gave me a run down of the events and directed us to the different areas of the Farm. We made our way to baby animal barn, the milking barn and then to the creamy where a guided tour of was given on how it all works. Patrick Daninger poked his head in and I extended my hand and said, ” You should be proud, ” he smiled and I said, “and tired!” Leaving that day with a gallon of the best chocolate milk, I remembered the conversation I had with Patrick the night of his Dad Michel’s visitation in March of 2006. He was impressed on our accomplishment of opening a new funeral home and briefly shared his concept and vision of Autumnwood Farm. I am equally as impressed of their new business venture, as I am sure Michel Daninger and previous Daninger generations are looking down on the family farm smiling! www.autumnwoodfarmllc.com

Starting Friday, November 14th thru Thursday November 20th the first 100 people visiting Roberts Family Funeral Home may pick-up a FREE Christmas Stocking, take it home, decorate it, stuff it with Christmas Cheer and return it to Roberts Family Funeral Home who will then ship it at their expense, to the troops abroad in time for Christmas. “This is a great way for us to show our support for the troops, while giving them a little taste of home for the holidays”, said Kelly Roberts, owner of Roberts Family Funeral Home.

Roberts Family Funeral Home Kicks Off Cell Phones For Soldiers Collection Drive

More than 150,000 troops are serving overseas and are away from their families. Hundreds of Veterans & Family Memorial Care Providers nationwide are calling on all Americans to support these brave men and women by donating your old unused cell phones. We are an exclusive Veterans & Family Memorial Care Provider and have become an official drop off site for Cell Phones for Soldiers to help troops stay connected with their families.
Local residents can support the collection drive by donating their phones here at the funeral home, 555 SW Centennial Drive, Forest Lake.
“We’re proud to show our support for U.S. soldiers, and to contribute to a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers” says Funeral Director, Tim Tarmann
Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, MA.with $21 of their own money. Since then the registered 501c3 non-profit organization has raised almost $1 million in donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.
The donated phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each phone, enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad.
Approximately half of the phones ReCellular processes are reconditioned and resold to wholesale companies in over 40 countries around the world. Phones and components that cannot be refurbished are dismantled and recycled to reclaim materials.
