Age 66 of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip D. and Alice M. (Burrows) Martin; brother, Theodore D. Martin; father-in-law, Marlin R. Toll and brother-in-law, Dr. Keith Toll.  He is survived by wife of 39 years, Krista (Toll) Martin; daughters, Lisa (James) Gaiovnik and Tonja (Kenneth) Tidgwell; granddaughters, Madison and Samantha Tidgwell; sister, Leila Samantha Martin; brother William (Karen) Martin; sister-in-law, Linda Martin; mother-in-law, Ione Toll; in-laws, Thomas (Kathy) Toll, Ann (Craig) Myers and Joy (Toll) Janis and other relatives and friends. 

Visitation:

A visitation will be held 4-8 PM on Wednesday, October 28th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held 2 PM Thursday October 29th at the Roberts Family Funeral Home.

Age 73 of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2009.   Frances is survived by her children, Carol Donovan, Gary Foster, Jeanette Foster, Chuck (Hazel) Foster, John Foster and Sherry Foster; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Edward Foster, Ester Ramsted, Ida Marie Soldberg and Michael Foster.   Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben W. Anderson and her parents, Edward F. and Dora Rupprecht.

 Dorothy Patricia (nee Kane) Nagle, 90 years on St. Patrick’s Day, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2009.  Formerly of Chicago, IL and Lakewood, CO. 

Preceded in death by husbands, Patrick in 1990 and J. Nestler in 1944; parents, John and Louise Kane; brothers, John E. Kane and James A. Kane; sister-in-law, Eileen M. Feeney.

Survived by daughter, Jeanne Nagle and many loving nieces and nephews in Chicago and Denver.

Passed away on October 8, 2009. Preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Carol Heinrich. He is survived by his son Ronald (Diane); grandchildren, Steph (Randy) Parent, Bryan (Susan), Eric (Lori), Lori (Tom) Robey; & nine great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 16th with a visitation one hour prior at Faith Alliance Church, 520 N. Howard St., St. Paul. Interment Union Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Faith Alliance Church, Howard Hammes Memorial Fund.

Verna Marie Olson of Forest Lake, MN

Date of Death: October 6, 2009

Verna Marie Olson passed peacefully on October 6, 2009 at The Meadows on Fairview in Wyoming, MN. She was born June 16, 1932 in Amery, WI. Verna was preceded in death by parents, John and Matilda Strandberg; stepmother, Emily Strandberg; sister, Dagmar Berget; brother, Delmer Strandberg; their spouses; nephew, “Big Al” Berget and many wonderful in-laws. She is survived by husband of 56 years, Willard D. “Bill” Olson; daughter LeeAnn (Dale) Weigt; son, Jon M. (Judy); grandchildren, Tara, Kyle and Lisa Olson; many family members and friends. Over the years, Verna was employed at Pure Oil Company and the U. S. Post Office.  In 1954, she founded Olson’s Sewer Service with husband, Bill and played an active role in the business for over 40 years. She was an avid bowler and loved a good garage sale especially going with her best friend, Liz Ellertson! Verna served as President of the Auxiliary of VFW Post 4210 for multiple terms.  She was involved in a number of organizations and a community volunteer.

Visitation/Memorial Service

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, Oct. 11th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake.   A memorial service will be at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 No. Shore Dr., Forest Lake at 11 AM Monday, Oct 12th with visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of service.  A luncheon will follow the memorial service at Forest Lake VFW Post 4210, 556 – 12th St., Forest Lake.  Private interment at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith Lutheran Church.
