Messages of Condolence

  1. Todd A. Miller says:

Shirley and family: I was so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I was at least pleased to know that when he left us, he was doing what he loved to do; traveling around the country for the winter. I always enjoyed talking with Ed and listening to Ed’s stories, whether it was when he was working for me in White Bear Lake, after his retirement when he would come back to visit the folks at the PD or during one of our few visits here in Texas when you and Ed would be traveling through and stop to say hello. I really appreciated those visits. Ed was a unique individual who always made me laugh and I am proud to say that he was my friend. I know that Ed had a lot of medical issues, but he left us way too young, I will miss him. God’s Speed Ed! Chief Todd A. Miller

I was saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. Gayle and I are spending
a couple of months in Mesa,Az so we just happened to see the obit notice online in t he St Paul pioneer press. Ed and I go back many years from the times he and Howard would work on my car to the fun times Ed took flight instruction from me in the Aeronca Champ and even helped get my street legal
sprint car inspected. We also flew a Bell Helicopter. Ed enjoyed taking the controls and comparing the way the helo and his Champ flew.A lot of memories. To Shirley,Kelly.Mke and Tina,
    my condolences…Dick Korfhage

  4. Shelley says:

Although we have never met, I wanted to offer my deepest sympathies. You can turn to the Holy Scriptures for help. For Psalms 34:18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and saves those crushed in spirit. He will certainly comfort your heart.
