There are countless things that I could reflect on with Dan. He was always the most affable person in any room he was in. He was always smiling and laughing and was truly a good person. I had the priviledge of having lived with Dan on 3 separate occasions and the memories we shared will always be with me. One just came to mind and I just have to share. :) It was in Fargo, ND. It was in 1997 and we had had more snow than any other year in our memory. The weather had us down and thinking of better places. So Dan, myself and my other roommate decided we would just drive to the airport and fly to Hawaii for a week. Of course, being college students and so forth, we elected to not go but we did actually pack bags and were on our way to Hector International. I laugh about it now but man, it was that spontenaity that I will always remember. Never a dull moment with Dan and he was a man who would give you the shirt off his back. I also told my mother of his passing today. She was in shock. Her description probably best captures what pretty much everyone would think...she said, "you couldn't help but like Dan. He was always so pleasant." Oh Dan, you will be missed. I regret not getting to spend more time with you in recent years. You will be missed but your memory will always remain.
Fishing and turtles, fishing and turtles! OH a big family Christmas when Santa came at 4 AM for Dan and then the rest of his siblings and endless cousins! Maybe a little fun fun fun mischief too! Life was just exciting when you were with us! Loved you Dan!!
I will remember Danny fondly, Jim & I use to "babysit" him in our younger years. He always enjoyed coming with us on our little adventures. Danny was always real happy to be with his Uncle Jim.
Bethany Clare im so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this terrible time. please know you are a very strong women and you will get through this. We LOVE you very much.
Dan; Thank you for taking such good care of Bethie Clare. You will be sorely missed in our little family. All this still doesn't seem real. My favorite memory: Me, you and Beth on the boat this last summer laughing at Beth trying to use that air mattress as a boogie board. I promise to take good care of her for you. I love you! Clare Deming (Beth's Mom)
We will remember Dan' s smile and his gift of conversation...he always took time for a chat with all his Aunts and Uncles at the family gatherings. Uncle Gene and Aunt sue
Dan's inquisitive mind------always trying to figure out how things worked and if there was a better way of doing things. His smile mostly!!
