WWII US Army Veteran, age 81 of Forest Lake Passed away peacefully on November 26, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Mike and Katherine; brothers, Alec, Mac, Bill and Jack; sister, Annie Sorenson. Survived by wife of 57 years, LaValle; children, Kathy (Jay) Scoggin, David (Anne) and Lori (Mike) Slack; grandchildren, Dessia, Lee, Peter and Katherine; sisters, Mary Whitlow and Margaret Skaar; brothers, George (Lucy), John and Tom; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation &  Funeral Service

Funeral 11 AM Wed., Dec 2nd at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice of the Twin Cities or American Cancer Society.

    Our thoughts and prayers for your family in this time of great sorrow in the passing of your husband,father,grandfather and our friend, and former neighbor. It is of great sadness when we read about Pete’s passing. He was a great guy who always had time to chat with us at our fenceline. I loved getting his opinions on many things. I could tell by the way he talked about his children, Pete was a good father. He was an inspiration to me as a gardener and a friend. He will be missed by all of us.
