Messages of Condolence

  1. Gwen Hansen says:

You have my deepest sympathy. What a joy you have had, Eleanor, to share sixty-five years with Bob.

As Christians we are assurred of eternal life. God’s Blessings to each of you in this time of temporary parting.

I am sorry that I will not be able to be with you on either Thursday or Friday. I am spending time at Luther Seminary preparing for the Women of the ELCA studies next year.

We will prepare for the August time with the Birchwood Residents. God’s continued Blessings.

    Peace,
    GWEN HANSEN

  2. Abby Berglund says:

I have been blessed in so many ways getting to know Bob and his beautiful family. Since the day I met Bob at Birchwood he told me he was ready to meet Jesus. I was shocked thinking this man must be depressed, or why would he be so eager to leave this world…but how wrong I had been! Bob’s faith was a daily witness to me in my own Christian journey. He was a reminder to stop being frightened of the unknown, to simply BELIEVE in our loving Redeemer, in our living salvation. I can still hear Bob’s matter-of-fact way of saying he knows that heaven is ahead of him. I will miss him so but look forward to his big bear hugs again one day. In loving memory, Abby Berglund (Bob’s friend and social worker)
