Bob was a special human being who we will never forget. Friendly, outgoing, and supportive, Bob was the type of person who saw everyone he met as a personal friend. He was alway at school events, supporting the Forest Lake Ranger teams and the total school district with a passion above and beyond the norm. To his wonderful wife and children, our heartfelt sorrow at his passing. From Bozeman, Montana, Kathy and Duke Millington

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Bob. We are so sorry we can not be there in person to offer our condolences, but know that we are thinking of you, and we are there in spirit. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Clarice, Mike, Mark, and Sue.

What a neat person Bob was. I worked at the Forest Lake Times for many years and that is how I met Bob. So, so friendly when he walked into the office.....and the same when you would meet him out & about. His kindness was the first thing I thought about when I saw his obituary. He will be missed for sure.
My prayers and heart-felt sympathies to all the family.

Mr. and Mrs. Beattie were really good friends of my parents who have both since passed away. I'm sure my parents are warmly receiving Bob in heaven as we grieve his loss to us here on Earth. Mr. Beattie was is charge of acolytes for years at church. He was an easy to be with friend to young and old.

Clarice and Family,

We are so saddened to hear about Bob's passing. Bob was truly a "Good Guy" with a huge heart and passion for others. I will certianly miss his infectious smile, strong handshake and great conversations about sports when he stopped in weekly to say hello.
Our continued thoughts and prayers to each of you.
God Bless

To Clarice and family, Marie and I want to express our deepest sympathy in the loss of Bob. For me I have known Bob all my life. I remember the days when he would come to our home and read the meter and mom always had coffee and rolls for him, It's a miracle he didn't weigh more than he did because I think everyone on his route would feed him. I don't ever remember him being mad or upset, always a freindly smile for everyone. When I was in high school I remember the many games he refereed when I was playing football, he wasn't just a ref. he was a teacher and a coach always helping you become a better player and person. To my surprise the Chairman of the Board of the health care facility that I was employed at for 22 years was a good friend of Bobs and a fellow referee in many games that I played in. He will be deeply missed by everyone who's life he touched. I know now that Bob is in a better place and by the way I bet he is having coffee with all those friends of the past.

I can honestly say that Mr. Beattie was always my stand in Dad and will definitely be missed. I remember sneaking raspberries from his garden, I knew he was watching but he never said a word. He was always there willing to lend a helping hand.

Dear Clarice and family -
We are so sorry for your loss. Bob was one of a kind - always giving, always positive and cheerful. And what a servant! Bob would do anything for Faith Lutheran and I'm sure he'll be deeply missed. Right now he's in heaven - no doubt shaking hands and smiling. Take care.

Bob refereed most of our Lindstrom-Center H.S. (CHI-HI) basketball and football games in the '50s and '60s. Jay and I got to know Bob even better in recent years when he would visit Lindstrom during Karl Oskar Days. Bob's connection was through our families years ago. During Bob's 'meter-reading' days he met my father, town physician, and Jay's father, editor of the local paper. His memory of those old sporting events was fabulous and he would regale us with many old wonderful memories. How he could remember us after all those years was always amazing to me. On one occasion at Dick's Bicycle Shop in Forest Lake, Bob spotted me and off we were with stories of the old days. Jay and I are going miss being able to reconnect with Bob and his history of our youth. We feel blessed to have known him more than 50 years-----------------------------------.
