Lawrence "Larry" Engstrom

Age 88 of Marine on St. Croix. Loving Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa & Brother, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. Preceded in death by wife, Joyce; brother, James. Survived by devoted children, Mike, Linda (Duke) Schultz, Mark (Evelyn Holmes), Steve (Lori), Laura (John) Zajac; grandchildren, Travis (Tasha), DJ, Zach, Luke, Logan, Leshia (James); great grandchildren, Sydney, Makayla, Sloane; siblings, Richard (Marilou), Dennis, Marlys McElroy; other relatives and friends. Larry was a proud Air Force Veteran. He worked as an electrician for over 40 years. Larry also loved farming all of his life. Larry was a fixture in the Scandia community and always gave back when he could. As an active member at Elim Church he helped with maintenance projects as well as the cemetery caretaker. He also was active with the Scandia-Marine Lions Club. Above all, Larry loved his family. Larry’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11:30 AM Wednesday, February 12th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, Scandia. Interment at Elim Cemetery.
