UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION Age 54 of Blaine. Exceptional Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle and Paramedic. Paul died suddenly while in Cancun, Mexico on 3/7/21. Preceded in death by father, Sol Jacobs; mother, Bette (Penny) Jacobs; mother in law, Marianne Sager; brother in law, Bert Sager. Survived by the love of his life wife, Angela Jacobs; loving children, Cassy, Matthew and Jackson; his birth Mother, Iris (Jim) Falk; his best buddy and father in law, Thomas (Mary) Sager; siblings Leslie (Miles) Simmons, Robin (Jay) Arneson, Robert Jacobs, Thomas (Angela) Sager, Lynn Sager, Cathy Sager; his adoring nieces and nephews, Liza, Sophie,Leah, Rachel, Margaret, Anne, Mary, Katie, Frances, Henry and Aubree. Paul began his career at Hennepin EMS in 1998 as a paramedic. Paul’s professionalism and dedication to the mission touched many for his entire career. Paul exercised his veteran status as a leader in the ECC and was a positive contributor, sharing his years of wisdom and experience. Paul contributed to several work groups and committees, and was also a member of the Incident Dispatch Team for Hennepin EMS. Our grief is profound, our hearts are broke. Paul simply enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife Angela and his beloved pup Bo (taking the longest walks he could with them), doing DIY home improvement projects, traveling near and far, being outdoors, and time spent with his family and friends. Paul literally looked forward to each and every day of LIFE. And he lived it. He offered humor, warmth, curiosity, trust, and joy to all he met. His love for nature, animals, and the underdog was inspiring and so important to him. One of Paul’s favorite quotes: “I believe in the SUN even when it is not shining, in LOVE even when I am alone, and in GOD even when he is silent.” (WW2, on the wall of a cellar, by a Jew in the Cologne concentration camp) An enormous thank you to Hennepin EMS for their amazing unending love, support, and respect since Paul’s passing. A celebration of Paul's life 11 AM Saturday May 22nd with visitation beginning at 9 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul. Rest in peace Paul. You are SO loved and you will be truly missed.
