Timothy Girard Capistrant

timothy capistrant

August 15, 1963 ~ May 15, 2023

Age 59 of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer on May 15, 2023. Preceded in death by father, Dr. Terrance Capistrant. Tim was a friend to everyone he met. An avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and dog-whisperer; Tim loved each one of his labradors. Trained as a gun-smith, Tim was a jack-of-all trades and gifted salesman. Most importantly, he was so very kind-hearted. His absence will be felt so profoundly by all who knew and loved him, but he’ll be in the boat, the blind, the toolbox… forever. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Angela (Wind) Capistrant, sons, Luke (Chantal) Capistrant and Samuel (Kary) Capistrant, along with Riggs, his constant companion. He is also survived by his mother, Jacqueline Capistrant, his two brothers, Theodore (Traci) Capistrant and Dr. Todd (Brandy) Capistrant, many nieces and nephews and too many friends to number. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 24th from 4pm-8pm at Roberts Family Funeral Home in Forest Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, May 25th starting at 10:30am at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, Lino Lakes. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Allina Health Hospice Foundation and Pheasants Forever.

  11. Tim was a huge influence in my whole life career he worked with me at 3 different companies including the one that he owned at one point mmm but Tim was the kinda of guy that would have given his shirt off his back because he really cared about others it completely caught me off guard when I learned that he had passed away so ya I have a major appointment so I’m very sorry I’m unable to make his ceremony but I loved Tim like another dad I did losts of work for his whole family so he’s going to be missed love you buddy see you again someday until then

  12. I haven’t seen Tim since our days at Black Hills State University. At that time we were thick as thieves, planning how to fish walleye at Orman Dam, hunting ducks on the Sturgis sewer lagoon, stalking turkeys behind his house, and so much more.

We would play tennis late into the summer night until they would turn off the lights on the court at 11:00pm. We were always looking for more top spin, harder serves, and shattering returns.

The world is less fun, more vacant, knowing that Tim has passed. Even though I didn’t see him for over twenty years, I loved him like a brother.
